As the deer pants for the water brooks, so pants my soul for you, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. This is a cry from the sons of Korah in Psalms 42:1-2, when they were in the midst of distress. We all yearn and have a longing, an innate craving for something. We don't always know what it is so we go searching in the wrong places, however that craving is for God. We can easily be misled as we go searching for what is for God in the wrong places. When we set our mind on seeking God, our thirst will be quenched and we wouldn't have to fall for counterfeit and cheap substitutes that the enemy puts in our path. Jesus in John 6:35 says, "I am the bread of life. He who comes to me shall never hunger, and he who believes in me shall never thirst." We are all wired with a deep desire for God that only He can satisfy. When we go in search of Him with that longing in our heart, we will find Him. He wants to meet all of our needs. Jesus is our biggest priority in life. He is saying to us today here I am, I have everything you need, come to me and you will never thirst again. We have to search after God like nothing else matters. He is
ready, willing and able. He is waiting on us, so come let Him satisfy your thirst today.
