I am quite sure we have heard many times the saying, you reap what you sow. Whether we believe it or not that saying is actually true, it comes from the word of God in Galatians chapter 6, verse 7. It's God's way of telling us that what we give we get back in return. Any farmer will tell you that you don't plant apple seeds and get oranges, or plant a tomato seed and get cherries. That same principle applies to how we treat others. We cannot plant the seed of bitterness and expect to get love in return or plant criticism and get encouragement. God said in Galatians that you will harvest exactly what you plant. We have to change the way we think and how we deal with others. What we desire and want to see in ourselves is how we should deal with others. In the book of Matthew 7:12 it reads, Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets. Our bad judgments, bad ways, and our sins can affect a whole generation. Sin perpetuates in families for multiple generations because the same negative behavior is being repeated over and over again. Until someone changes their way of thinking, that life cycle will continue. When we change our thinking, we change our life. When we sow to the flesh we reap a life of turmoil and destruction, however when we sow to the spirit we yield everlasting life. Don't you want to yield everlasting life? Start today by changing the way you think. Do you know that we can change our thought pattern by repetitive behavior good or bad? We can retrain our brain by changing our thoughts, it's not that hard we just have to begin to make positive confessions. We want to say and do the right things that will harvest fruitfulness in our lives. When we change our mind and how we think, it changes how we feel and how we feel changes the way we act. Let's purpose in our heart to have a correct thought pattern so we can sow seeds according to the Spirit that will in turn harvest fruit of righteousness in our lives.

Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap....Galatians 6:7

Father help us not to be deceived. We know that whatsoever we sow we will also reap, so help us to sow seeds according to your Spirit. Help us to change the way we think so that we can change our lives for the better and please you. Help us to plant seeds of joy and love so that we can love others and live a joyful life. We thank you for the outcome, we can do all things through Christ who empowers us, in Jesus name, Amen!
