It is not impossible for us to lose things, losing things is a concept that exist with man. Over the years we find ourselves losing many things. We lose keys, money, jobs, homes, friends, etc. Some things we lose we may find again or we may replace it, other things we can't get back like the lost of time. Time is our greatest lost. There is no possible way for us to gain that back other than exploring the mystery of restoration through Christ. To lose something or someone is to part ways with it. It is no longer in your possession or your circle. God is not interested in restoring things. He will however restore time. The Lord said in Joel 2:25 "I will give you back what you lost to the locusts." God who does not live in time but lives in the now, through His infinite wisdom enables us to gain back time. When we through the lack of discernment, carelessness or when we take things for granted having a nonchalant approach to life, not following the direction of the Holy Spirit we tend to miss our season. Through our own ignorance concerning the laws of life and the Kingdom we miss our destiny moment. We tend to live our lives sociologically, by all that's going on around us in society in oppose to living intentionally, seeking God for what He has next for us on His agenda. At the end of the day It's all about what He wants to accomplish through us. We could spend a good decade lost in the clouds, not fulfilling our purpose and aimlessly going through life; however when we come to our senses and we do a self examination evaluating our position, then we can begin to seek God who is able to restore. God will give back to us the time we've lost as if it was never lost. In God's dealing with us concerning restoration, we have to acknowledge that God is Almighty. He is multifaceted, having many aspects and qualities. When He sees our brokenness, He cannot ignore it. He is loving merciful and kind. When He restores our time back to us, it's as though nothing was ever lost. Time is very important and we should make good use of it. We should be good stewards over the time that God has given us. We shouldn't take things for granted, however we should treasure every moment. Seeking God continually for the assignment He has for us. We should be that yielded vessel always ready to move when God says move. If you know there is something God has for you to do and you have lost time through ignorance, carelessness or whatever reason, now is the time to get it right. Humble yourself before Him and let Him know you are yielded and ready. Do not waste anymore time. God is waiting on you. He still has need of you.
The Lord says, "I will give you back what you lost to the swarming locusts, the hopping locusts, the stripping locusts, and the cutting locusts. It was I who sent this great destroying army against you. Once again you will have all the food you want, and you will praise the Lord your God, who does these miracles for you. Never again will my people be disgraced."
Father God, in the name of Jesus we come to you now thanking you for all that you have done for us. We recognize that the greatest lost we could ever experience is the lost of time. We know God that you are a restorer and you will restore unto us the time which we have so foolishly allowed to get away from us. Father forgive us for our ignorance, forgive us for the times that we have acted carelessly and taken your work for granted. We humbly come before you now and ask for restoration. Thank you Lord for enabling us to redeem the time lost. In Jesus name we pray, Amen!
